"a distinctive style"
"It has been a number of years since I knew Mike as a young
student at Rollins college. I recall him clearly, however, and
remember him especially as a student whose artistic interests were
focused on portrait work. His early interest and ability in portraiture
was such that it comes as no surprise to me that he has gone on to
establish himself as a professional portrait artist.
He appears to have developed a distinctive style in this genre of
art in the years since he left Rollins, and produced an impressive
body of work. I know he is deeply committed to his work with the
human figure, and I wish him well and offer my encouragement as
he seeks to deepen and expand his abilities in this challenging mode
of expression."
